1)      Administers information systems and related services for the purpose of ensuring the availability to authorized users.

2)      Works with Information Systems Officer to design and develop information system solutions that meet identified corporate goals and initiatives.

3)      Participates in the activities of analysis, design, development, implementation, and support on the assigned information system.

4)      Identifies and resolves service incidents, issues, questions and problems with all elements of the assigned information system.

5)      Works with vendors, suppliers or contractors in the delivery of turnkey information system projects.

6)      Performs other IT-related functions as may be assigned.




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or other related fields.


  • 3+ years of working experience and understanding of system development life cycle, dynamics of applications development projects, IT best practices and methodologies.


  • Working knowledge and hands-on experience in RDBMS, Microsoft .NET, Visual Basic/ASP, C++, and other systems development tools and languages.
  • Preferably with systems and business process analysis skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Hourly monitoring and updating of trading data and uploading or inputting in the FDCUI database, such as:

  • Real Time Dispatch Schedules and Prices
  • Real Time Ex-Post Prices
  • Day-Ahead Dispatch Schedules and Prices
  • System Demand and LWAP
  • Week-Ahead and Day-Ahead Plant Nomination
  • Month-Ahead, Week Ahead and Day-Ahead Customer Nominations

2. Record and update information on the status of the market, power plants and other information relevant to the trading operations.

3. Monitor real-Time Dispatch to Actual Loading of power plant, thru phone call or a system and inquire about discrepancies, if any.

4. Receive all month-ahead, week-ahead, and day-ahead customer nominations and upload to Trading database.

5. Receive all month-ahead , week-ahead and day-ahead plant capacity and upload to Trading Database.

6. Submit week-ahead and day-ahead plant dependable capacity to NGCP.

7. Prepare ex-ante contract allocations for IMEM and BCQ allocations for WESM (thru WBSS or thru IPPA-Trader).

8. Forward ex-ante contract allocation and BCQ allocation summary to Trading Specialist for validation and submission to respective electricity markets.

9. Assist in the preparation and submission of reports of done transactions for the day, such as:

  • Revenue Report
  • Energy Report
  • Other reports that may be requested in relation to the functions of Trading Group

10. Safeguard the confidentiality of the records and other information.

11. Perform other task and special functions which may be assigned by the management relevant to the functions of the Trading Group.




  • Degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, Mathematics or applied Science.


  • At least one (1) year of relevant work experience in the electric power industry.


  • Working knowledge and understanding of WESM, EPIRA and RCOA is an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills and high comprehension abilities
  • Good communication and writing skills
