Ancillary Services Procurement Agreement (ASPA)
The Grid Code defines Ancillary Services as support services necessary to sustain the transmission capacity & energy that are essential in maintaining the power quality, reliability & security of the Grid. Its primary function is to maintain the load generation balance of the system.
The Transmission Provider, as the System Operator, may use reasonable endeavors to procure and enter into Ancillary Services Procurement Agreement (ASPA) with qualified generation companies to provide sufficient ancillary services to the Grid.
FDCUI is exploring entering into agreements with the System Operator which are necessary to support not only the basic services of energy supply but, also, to help maintain the reliability and quality of power delivery to end-users.
