JOB SUMMARY
The Project Development Specialist performs complete desk review/assessment and due diligence activities to determine the financial and technical viability of potential projects, joint ventures, and/or acquisition initiatives. The job entails preparing necessary documentary requirements for permitting and compliance with postcondition requirements for projects during the pre-development phase. Part of the scope includes coordinating with JV partners, affiliates/subsidiaries, government agencies, developers, contractors/consultants, LGUs, and other key stakeholders in connection with pre-development-related activities for power projects.
The job also involves technical analysis and PVsyst simulation, project cost estimate, preparation of preliminary project layout, and proposed connection for renewable energy projects, especially rooftop and utility-scale solar PV projects. This includes simulation of financial models and tariff derivations to establish proposals and strategic recommendations to Management on potential business opportunities.
The scope likewise includes providing regulatory and commercial operations support to concerned functional groups and affiliates in areas relating to the groups’ scope and responsibility. It entails conducting market studies and research to stay abreast of regulatory changes and new issuances by oversight agencies.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- *Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering;
- *Knowledgeable in project development, permitting requirements and process, tariff design formulation, financial modeling, project valuation, and due diligence on power projects;
- *Has related work experience in the power industry and is familiar with project development activities and regulatory framework.
