The Trading Manager oversees the electricity trading operations of FDC Utilities, Inc. and all of its subsidiaries.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Supervision and management of trading operations
2. Accomplishes department objectives by managing staff, planning and evaluating department activities
3. Optimization of spot, reserve, and bilateral electricity sales
4. WESM Compliance
5. Short and long-term Energy Market Modelling, electricity price simulation, and forecasting
6. Power systems economics
7. Power plant unit dispatch optimization
8. RES Pricing and Strategy
9. Electricity trader training and career development
10. Strategic management
11. Final approval of Wholesale and RES power bills
12. Proper operational execution of all short-term and long-term Power Purchase Agreements
13. Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Must be a graduate of Mechanical or electrical engineering, economics, statistics, finance, or other business-related courses
2. Must have a Master’s Degree in Business or Energy
3. Must have at least 5 years of relevant experience in the power industry
4. Must have a strong background in the Philippine electricity spot market, power system operation, and analysis
5. Highly proficient in programming and data analytics
6. Must have strong analytical and decision-making skills
