Mental Health Webinar Series
Mental Health Awareness Program complies with RA 11036 or Mental Health Act, and DOLE DO 208-20, where companies are mandated to implement the information, education, and communication (IEC) campaigns to promote the importance of mental health and well-being of individuals within the workplace and host communities. The company aims to provide holistic health intervention by including mental health as a supplement program to address the mental health challenges and issues, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, where people feel anxious and face lots of uncertainties. Empowering the Minds wants to provide a platform for healthy conversations, understanding mental health concepts, and breaking the stigma for people, especially the youth struggling with mental health problems such as anxiety and depression. The virtual session took place on March 29-31, 2021, in partnership with CBM Philippines, Inc., UP Psychology Society, DepEd Region X, and DepEd Districts of Tagoloan and Villanueva. It was participated by 330 teachers and 164 students from 17 participating schools plus 200 FB live stream views. The participants expressed their overwhelming gratitude to the company and its partners for giving them the opportunity to learn and openly discuss the topic.
